Youth Parliament

Youth Parliament was organised in PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Waltair on 20 December 2023. The Youth Parliament gave firsthand experience of the functioning of our legislature to the participants and the audience. Important issues were discussed and debated during the session including Cyber Crimes, Mental health issues among students, air pollution in cities and implementation of GST. In the end Parliament passed the Women’s Reservation Bill which reserves 33% of the seats in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies.

Our Social Science teachers Usha Mani( TGT), Rahul Pippal( TGT), Lokesh Kumar (TGT), and Aayushi Rai (PGT Economics) provided guidance and invaluable inputs on the topics and parliamentary procedures. Principal Shri Kamaljeet extended cooperation and support throughout the practice session and on the day of final presentation.
